I moved to Owen Sound 32 years ago, and have raised by 3 children here. My oldest son has his own Wood Fired Pizza Business, my daughter is multi talented a Doula, Yogi, and is our Marketing Assistant, my youngest is going to run the world someday. I also have 2 grandchildren. I love real estate, and I love renovating. When I am done renovating part of my house, I start again. I have two sisters that live within two blocks and I have 2 big dogs that I hike on my beloved Bruce Trail every day. (weather permitting) One of my favourite things to do in the summer is zip out and take a quick dip in the lake, WOW this makes me happy.
Well ... My wife and I have two young children, we live on a 100 acre farm which we love and our property has slowly morphed into a "funny farm" now that we have kids. We have about 30 sheep a dog named "lola" 5 chickens and 3 miniature donkeys ! I grew up in Grey County and moved away for school . My previous life I was an aircraft maintenance engineer (AME) Its amazing how many skills transferred into real estate. Who would have thought !! Moving back to the area after years away was something we always knew we wanted to do and in 2010 we bought the place we now call home. www.scottcrowther.com
I grew up on a beef farm in eastern Ontario, am a proud 4-H alumni and University of Guelph, 03A Dipper! I LOVE our greater Markdale community, where we have planted and grown our family for the past 10 years. I operated our on-farm, cheesemaking business, where we made fresh cheese and marketed throughout Grey, Bruce, Simcoe and Toronto areas. I like to ski and paddleboard, when I get a chance!

I am a proud farm girl. Raised on a small family farm east of Peterborough, I eventually hived off to Queen's University where I studied, of all things, film theory. Upon graduation, I and two fellow students launched our own production company, Atlantis Films. We worked hard and began winning awards for our films, most notably the Academy Award for Boys and Girls. It was a heady time but, as successful as Atlantis (later Alliance Atlantis) became, I missed the country. So, with my husband Tim, headed up to Annan where we bought our own farm, raised two kids and a herd of Black Angus. Called back to Atlantis by my ex-partners, I took 4 years out to help them launch Life Network (now Slice) and Home and Garden Television (HGTV); as VP Programming, I was in charge of all programming for the two fledgling channels. Great fun!
Not sure too many people know this but I originally came to Owen Sound in 1973 or 1974(Jury still out on Year) after I was drafted by the Owen Sound North Star Senior Lacrosse team. I enjoyed Owen Sound so much that I decided to stay and work in Owen Sound. For a time at the ripe age of 22 I ran a small boutique retail operation called the Jean Jungle. I met my wife Marylee after I decided to stay so that worked out pretty well. Still together and coming up on our 42 year anniversary. I loved the Owen Sound area. People on the Street actually said hello to each other. We moved away in 1984 for business reasons. Spent 20 years plus in the London area working and raising our two Daughters Amy and Laura. We came back to the area by choice in 2006. I retired for a time but found retirement wasn't for me. I need to be in motion. I am certainly in motion now between the Real Estate and out 2 year old Grandson. He's awesome. I still spend some time at the Horse farm our daughter runs close to Markdale. I guess you could same we are pretty busy.
I'm Natalie and I am the head of marketing for the Advantage Royal Group. I have two wee babes at home: a little lady who is 3-years-old and a man-cub little boy who is just five months old. I am currently on maternity leave and loving every moment. Before the transition to Advantage Royal Group I worked alongside my mama (Wanda). I was her unlicensed assistant, but I like to say I scheduled her every move! It was a funny transition going from talking about real estate with my mom every day to now working alongside her, meeting her clients and really being involved in her every day routine and promoting the business. Some people may call me crazy for choosing to work with family, but for us it works beautifully. For those who know me already in the community, you will know that scheduling my mom's life is not my only passion; I am also a certified prenatal yoga instructor, as well as a Doula for a local maternal support group called Mountain Momma Collective. Supporting women and families while they welcome new little babes earthside has brought a lot of peace and joy to my life. I am excited to jump back in the game with the group come August, but for now am enjoying playgroups, swim dates, baby snuggles, and a lot of diaper changing."
A recent addition to the Advantage Royal Group, Jenn's quickly become a crucial part of the team. From listings to advertisements, Jenn is always on the move. A Collingwood import to Balmy Beach, she's a busy working mom, balancing hockey games, school, and everyday life. Jenn successfully ran her own salon downtown Owen Sound for many years and brings a fierce entrepreneurial spirit to the identity of the team. She's also a strong supporter of community, volunteering in her spare time at Chapman House.
My whole family has been the biggest influence on my life. My mother, father and each of my siblings have taught and teach me to hold the values and principals I have today. What you might not know about me is I am a quadruplet. I have two brothers and a sister I grew up with and that I am still very close to. As an assistant to Wanda Westover, Alyssa brings dedication and reliability to the Advantage Royal Group. She is new to real estate but very excited to be apart of the Advantage Royal Group team. Alyssa is enthusiastic about learning the ins and outs of the real estate industry. She hopes to bring resourcefulness and professionalism to the table. Alyssa's cheerfulness and positive attitude will help to make enjoyable interactions with clients. Alyssa grew up in Chatsworth and moved to Ottawa to earn her BA with a major in psychology at the University of Ottawa. She is very excited to be back home working in the area she grew up in. Alyssa has a quiet personality and enjoys quiet nights in trying to read every kind of novel she can get her hands on.
I grew up in North Toronto and attended Ryerson University where I received a BAA in Office and Administrative Studies. My first full-time job was working as a Sales Assistant in the Health & Beauty Care Division at Procter & Gamble. The training I received during my 5 years with P&G gave me the strong skill set that I carry with me today. I've had many jobs since which included two moves to the U.S. and back (Seattle and then Tallahassee). My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 2018 and in those 25 years, we moved 14 times. So, I have a keen interest in real estate! With our daughter, we called Markham home for 20 years. We immersed ourselves in the community and all it had to offer; from festivals, to libraries, to fairs and the local community centre. We were proud 'dance parents' and cheered our daughter on at many competitions in Markham and beyond, including a trip to Riesa, Germany in 2010 where the team came home with a Bronze medal. I have been coming up to 'The Bruce' since I was a toddler. Family connections in Wiarton allowed us many trips as kids and teenagers to visit over Thanksgivings, Christmases and March breaks. Spending summers at Hope Bay where my Aunt & Uncle and my Grandparents had cottages solidified my deep connection to the area. We relocated to Georgian Bluffs in December 2016. I am thrilled to finally call this area my home! We love living on Colpoy's Bay. If you can't find me in the afternoon, it's because I'm probably swimming in the Bay or at Berford Lake, Hope Bay or Sandy Beach! Those are my 'go to' places for a dip. The neighbourhood we live in has welcomed us with open arms. Good friends, the sense of community spirit, the many music festivals and other events are what we cherish!
Patti Smith joins our team with 12 years of staging experience. Patti moved to the Grey Bruce area via Meaford. When visiting relatives here, she found that she hated going home to Brampton. As an RN, she obtained a job at the Meaford Hospital in 1989 and has been there since in an almost full time capacity. She has lived in Little Pike Bay on the Peninsula, cottaged at Sauble beach for 17 years, and has made a permanent home with her husband Jim, downtown Owen Sound. Jim and Patti are the owners and operators of The Bleeding Carrot, the first vegetarian restaurant in town. In the same space, you can buy vintage home accessories and clothing at Patti`s store Show Offs Home Stuff. The love of Simplifying with Style and Beautifying on a Budget lies at the base of her hobbies and talents.
